As the CEO of Advantech IT Solutions, Inc., Mike Schmid oversees business operations, business development, and customer relations. He also manages IT infrastructure and application support for a wide variety of industry sectors. Mike’s 15 years of network engineering experience combined with advanced technical skills make him an impressive leader in the IT field.

With having his MCSE, MCSA, and Microsoft Certified Professional for over 10 years his is familiar with all networks that fall under the Microsoft umbrella. In addition, Mike is skilled at creating disaster recovery plans, managing IT budgets –projects, and implementing entire IT systems for small and medium-sized businesses.

Mike acquired the former Point Loma Data Systems in 2011 from his business partner Brian Barker. He soon expanded operations, signed on new clients and extended the geographic reach to all of Orange County, California.

Advantech’s customers commend Mike not only for this technical ability but also for his strong work ethic and customer-service skills. As a plus, he is calm and composed under pressure, handling emergency situations with ease and expertise.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys going to Charger and Angels games. He also plays the guitar and golfs.
