As the CEO of Advantech IT Solutions, Inc., Mike Schmid oversees business operations, business development, and customer relations. He also manages IT infrastructure and application support for clients across a wide range of industries. Mike's 15 years of network engineering experience combined with advanced technical skills make him a trusted leader in the IT field.
With his MCSE, MCSA, and Microsoft Certified Professional credentials, Mike has spent over a decade working across every network that falls under the Microsoft umbrella. He is also skilled at creating disaster recovery plans, managing IT budgets and projects, and implementing entire IT systems for small and mid-sized businesses.
Mike acquired the former Point Loma Data Systems in 2011 from his business partner Brian Barker. He soon expanded operations, signed on new clients, and extended Advantech's reach throughout Orange County and beyond.
Advantech's customers commend Mike not only for his technical ability but also for his strong work ethic and customer-service skills. He stays calm and composed under pressure, handling emergency situations with ease and expertise.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys going to Charger and Angels games. He also plays the guitar and golfs.
